RICC defeats TWCC and marches onto Semi Finals

RICC made its maiden entry into Play-offs count by marching into Semi-Finals. In a match where the mayor bowled the first ball and was covered by the media RICC ensured it focused on its task on hand and reduced TWCC to 50/5. Asif starred with the ball starting with a double wicket maiden followed by couple more maiden overs. Arif & Shahid had set the stage by a great display of fast bowling earlier. After initial hiccups, captain Moiz and veteran Nauman ensured RICC's victory and march to SemiFinals.  Score Card

RICC started their play-off campaign in style by causing the biggest upset in the MACC league history and defeating favorites HPCC in their own den.

RICC reached play-off in the MACC league for the first time and were pitched  against 3rd seeded HPCC. Put into bat on a wet pitch, RICC was in early trouble at 11/3 in 9 overs. Eventually RICC posted a fighting total of 154 thanks to Arif's brave effort of 43 runs. Hashim got the leading scorer Wasif Khwaja out for 0 and set RICC on path to a historic victory. MACC website mentioned it as one of the greatest upsets in the league history. HPCC fell short by 14 runs.         Score card
